The Challenge

The industrial boiler suffered from high unburned carbon (UBC) in fly ash, indicating incomplete combustion. This represented lost fuel value, increased ash disposal costs, and reduced overall boiler efficiency.

TABi implemented an upgrade-assisted combustion optimization approach including classifier improvements, coal flow balancing, and burner tuning. The systematic approach addressed multiple factors affecting combustion quality.
